haha, this is kinda funny / interesting..according to kotaku and TMZ, Daz claims that Rockstar offered him around 4k $ to use his tracks "C-Walk" and "Nothin But The Cavi Hit" on GTA V. He turned the offer down and expects Rockstar to either raise the offer, or destroy any remaining copies of the game that have the songs on them and press the new ones without them. Read more on kotaku:http://kotaku.com/rapper-says-gta-v-stole-his-music-1443818332Dunno how much truth is in this but I think if Daz really turnt their offer down - no matter how much they offered him - they just can't use his songs. You can argue whether Daz is a money whore here or just an artist who wants his rights to be fullfilled - but in my opinion, if he was a cool guy, he would say something like "You know what, my music is so dope, Rockstar even breaks the law for it"..
I read about this too, but it doesn't make sense. The budget for the game was in the millions. Rockstar was not sweating $4,000+ for songs. Besides there are so many West Coast tracks out there that they could have used, why would they illegally take these? That doesn't add up. Sure, companies can be shady at times, but why would Rockstar sweat THESE two songs?Yes, I like both songs and I'm a Daz fan, but this doesn't sound right to me.
Shut yo looser ... Daz should have just took the 4 gz and buy some crack witit ...
"What Would U Do" is also on the game.
Its a shame its come to this, love playing the game and hearing a lot of west coast classics.
