All,
RJBond had a chance to speak with Michael Moore's family, after some searching. I had not, as Frank had not, heard from Michael in a while. In fact, we indirectly talked in 2007 and then that was it for me.
However, recently, for a point that I have yet to fathom, but in an obvious attempt to smear the movies I do and Mr. Moore ("MM") himself (as well as his claims), there was a mugshot of MM that was put out as the "last word" about MM. Further, Reggie Wright had all kinds of bad things to say about MM (none of which was ever backed). I knew MM to be a captain at the fire station when he was interviewed.
In honor of both Frank Alexander and Michael Moore, I wanted to put out some TRUTHFUL information relating to MM.
On July 31st, 2013 Michael Moore passed away leaving 3 children: Malachi 16 and Max 12 and Sahayla, 17 next month.
MM's father is a pastor for Harvest Ministries in Moreno Valley and has a radio show in the mornings on an am radio station. His father was in the Navy and MM traveled with his father when he was small. They lived in Europe for a time and then settled up north in Hayward. They all now live in the Hemet area.
MM moved to Arizona in 2010; he became permanently disabled from a fall from a firetruck at work and he had moved to Arizona to purchase a home and retire. Michael had custody of his youngest son Max who lived with him in Arizona. Court records show that MM appeared in family court to request a reduction in child support due to his disability.
In 2011 Michael’s mother passed away, and so began Michael’s downward spiral. MM was depressed because of being forced to retire early due to his back injuries. It was at this time he began to rely heavily on Oxicodone which debilitated him. MM suffered a mild heart attack in November 2012 and then a secondary head injury from a similar attack in January 2013.
MM was then hospitalized from January to March of 2013,he had to relearn how to talk, walk, dress and feed himself. His sisters and father spent time in Arizona helping him. He was completed taken off the pain medication to help him recover so he could get his memory back as he didn’t remember anyone. We had intended to re-interview MM and ask him for some more pointed clarifications on earlier statements he had made. This is largely why our attempts to reach out to him in the earlier part of 2013 were fruitless; he did not know that he had done the interviews or who Frank or I were.
About the time his mother passed, MM was dating a woman off and on who began to give him pain medication against the wishes of the doctors and the family; paperwork shows this woman "Judy" was banned from coming to the hospital. Upon hearing that Michael was in the hospital, Michael’s family returned to Arizona. They were met with MM's "girlfriend" who notified them that she now had medical power of attorney over Michael and had control over his assets including his car, the house and his bank accounts. In spite of being banned from the hospital, and advised by the fmaily to stay away from the brain damaged MM, "Judy" continued to give MM Oxy. Unlike California in Arizona it is not a crime to give your prescription drugs to someone else.
Michael was always under the influence of some medication during his last months alive. On July 31st, Michael was having trouble breathing and his son Max was told to go outside and play. But when Max came back inside and asked what was wrong with his father because he was laying in bed and Judy was crying. Max then felt for a pulse and could not feel one; he- a 12 year old boy- called 911. The paramedics arrived and took Michael to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No one called Michael’s father to let him know that Michael had passed; instead the police called the family to notify them of Michael’s passing because Child Protective Services now had Max; "Judy" did not have anything in writing that she could have custody of Max. Max is now in foster care with a trusted friend of MM's family in Arizona, and they are just waiting to get Max back to his mother in California.
The family sent me a link; I have attached a link of a video they made of Michael, his children, his parents and sisters, so people can see the other side of Michael they probably didn’t see.
MM was a very private person. He loved the fact that he bodyguarded Tupac, but personally did not like Tupac because Tupac at times would ask MM to do things that would have compromised him at the Fire Station and compromised his EMT licenses.
