This guy is touring the West Coast soon, what do you guys think of his music? His "Irish Celebration" tune is pretty big out here in Ireland.. Here's an interview with him in Dublin earlier in the month:

I normally dont listen to new artists and they amaze me..

But The Heist is a fuckin dope album, people dont give Macklemore enough credit - he is a BEAST on the mic, and has some insane lyrics man.

He is dope. His only shit I hate are those 2 dance joints that apparently are supposed to be ironic but are simply wack. Musically intolerable. Other than that, I can enjoy most of his music for what it is.

Not a huge fan personally, being from the Pacific Northwest, dude has some nice tracks but is way over-hyped out here. In terms of Seattle rappers, I think we have much better to offer. With that said, he's come up from doing tiny ass shows at bars around here to number 1 on the charts all independently, and giving the same type of message the whole time, so gotta give him props for that.
