The return the Yankees could've gotten for Cano would've been huge. It would've revived a piss poor farmsystem and provided some new building blocks for the next Yankees dynasty. Instead the Yankees pussied out and kept feeding their idiotic fanbase and the New York media false hope and kept Cano. Now they're trapped in a corner where if they have to re-sign Cano or else they'll get nothing but a compensation pick.

And the worst part is that even if they do resign Cano, the Yankees will still suck in 2014.
