lol, Haren joins Greinke as yet another former Angel from their disappointing ass 2012 season where on-paper they were projected to dominate (Weaver, CJ Wilson, Greinke, Haren, Ervin Santana).

Getting him on a one year deal is awesome. He's fallen off quite a bit and I have a feeling he's going to suck with us, but with Nolasco most likely gone, we could use another starter to fight out Beckett and Billingsley as the 4 and 5 spots. Plus, he showed signs of the old Dan Haren during the second half of the season.

How much pitching depth do the Dodgers have anyway?

Less than (but close to) a year ago everyone was talking about how the Dodgers had too many starters, then they traded away Harang, then the season started and their starters started falling to the DL, then some of those pitchers came back, then they traded for guys like Nolasco and Volquez, and now they need starting pitching again.
I'm guessing the Kershaw, Greinke and Ryu are at the front of the rotation and the Dodgers now have three options for the last 2. Are they looking to add more? Do they have any inhouse options? Is Zach Lee ready?

On an unrelated note, I'm still surprised the Dodgers sent the Red Sox Allen Webster in 2012.

Right now, our starters still under contract are Kershaw, Greinke, Ryu, Beckett, Billingsley, and now Haren, along with minor leaguers Stephen Fife and Matt Magill who were brought up as a result of all of our starters getting injured last year. With an exception of those two, none of our in-house options are even close to ready with an exception of Zach Lee, but I would be surprised if Lee gets called up this year barring a ton of freak injuries.

Nolasco and Volquez are both free agents, and neither are getting re-signed. Capuano's option got declined, and it's a sad way for him to go out, because he was a good, humble personality for the team but was way too inconsistent this year after performing well in the previous year. As you pointed out, Harang got traded mid-season, and Ted Lilly got cut mid-season.

The two pitchers we've been hunting heavily for are David Price and Tanaka. I would love it if we scored both pitchers, but the free agency has left the team with positional holes that we have yet to fix, and I'm sure it would be more comforting to the fans if there were more rumblings on what we plan on doing with these positions (and I pray to God it isn't another 3-year Uribe deal) instead of hearing about Price and Tanaka everyday. And besides, Tampa Bay has a history of robbing people in trades anyways.
