24 MILLION? lmao hilarious and perfect timing. go buy Carmelo and have a loser team in LA
As someone who didn't agree with the contract, it's a huge stretch to act like he's conclusively done being a big-time player. It's easy to forget, but dude was dunking over guys like he was in his 20's last year. The guy is an absolute freak and doesn't give a fuck about anyone/anything but basketball. If anyone can make the comeback it's him.
Now Kobe is saying it could be weeks before he starts playing again. It's a good thing he got that contract locked up first.

by the way NIK stop being a homer, Kareem was far from "top tier" those last 2 years or so. 14 and 6 and 10 and 6 are not top tier.
It's just the simple principal Kobe had the option of getting two really good free agents or load up for retirement and only get one max player. You can sit here and slice it and dice it about whether he's worth it or can win without the second player or whether he'll live up to the contract or be healthy for it....bottom line is that he was selfish.
