Jumping the gun a little early, but he's expected to resign. Nice move.

The word is he stopped talking to Detroit (which resulted in Detroit signing Joe Nathan) and came back to us only to get a... one-year deal? Seems a bit odd, I wonder what the hell happened in Detroit because he definitely should be seeking more job security than what he's getting with us, especially with his recent injury.

Either way, I'm stoked to have him back.

He can always come back with hat in hand to SF, we'll work out a deal.

I was about to tear my hair out when I realized it was for 10 mill. But then I remembered we're paying Brandon League 23 mill for 3 years. Two wrongs dont make a right, but Brian Wilson knows damn well that if we can pay almost 8 mill a year to Brandon League, we can pay 10 mill to Wilson for one year.

This is the new age where 10 million is the new 1 million. Besides, what's $10 million to the Dodgers?

True, but it's kind of scary that we're going after pitchers like they're going out of style when quite frankly, our pitching staff looks like it's one of the best in the league as it is (assuming Beckett and Billingsley don't suck when they return). And yet, we have infield holes to take care of. No third baseman, and potentially no second baseman (Guerrero is a SS and they don't even know if he's going to be ready for majors yet).

We're like the opposite of Yanks/Angels. We ignore position players but we go all in for any hot pitching commodity on the planet. lol

"Pitching wins games."
Plus I'm sure you remember how the Dodgers' starting pitchers started falling to the DL one by one as the season started, to the point where they actually had to trade for more pitching. My guess is that the Dodgers want to keep that from happening by any means necessary. Plus as the season goes on and other teams start getting really desparate for pitching, the Dodgers might get some decent infield pieces in return for their extra pitchers.

Good point. Obviously you can never have too much pitching. But my thing is, our pitching was consistently amazing in the play-offs minus Kershaw's final brainfart (and Nolasco but he's gone). But our position players were making a shit ton of errors every game, and our offense suffered BADLY with the two-three injuries we had (no Kemp, and Hanley/Ethier were used sparingly). We couldn't score for shit. With Ellis and Uribe gone, I just wish we had a couple more reliable and experienced fielders to make up for how injury prone all of our guys are.

But you're right, 10 mill ain't shit to the Dodgers. I guess I sometimes get worried that Dodgers will start turning stingy with their money after overpaying for certain players, so I have to continue to hope that never happens lol.

Judging from how they're staying away from Cano (THE best 2nd baseman available right now) it's begun lol.

Lol yeah that's what I'm talking about man. There were all this speculation as to why Cano to the Dodgers make sense (his friendship with Hanley, his hero being Jackie Robinson, and Dodgers' billions of dollars) and then Dodgers respond by telling Cano to fuck off. I know Cano's contract demands sound ridiculous to any team but the instant offense he could've provided us would've made us like 95% guaranteed champions lol. That being said, Mariners seem to be the only team remotely interested in taking Cano off Yankees' hands so that does speak volumes as to why nobody wants him.

Damn us Dodger fans got spoiled these past couple years lmao
