At the same time, he's now carrying a lot more weight behind his name, having beaten Pacquiao AND Marquez, so Pacquiao-Bradley II (should it happen) is going to clear 1 million easily.  But Bradley really needs one of those in his resume.

thats what im saying...i think bradley is comin up

Yeah... but he just doesn't have much marketability though, or much of a backstory... contrasting to some of the superstars like Tyson, De La Hoya, Mayweather and Pacquiao.  But he has a nice future ahead of him though, particularly if he sharpens his skills.  I remember watching Bradley-Alexander, the guy swings too wide and sometimes hits people with the inside of his fist/palm rather than the knuckles, almost like he's slapboxing... it looked like two kids were fighting.  But I think he's gotten better at landing better, more direct punches.  But Pacquiao-Bradley II has to be next... Arum was talking about Pacquiao maybe fighting that Russian guy next (the one who Bradley fought between Pacquiao and Marquez)... fuck that noise.

There was something mentioned in the news about how Rios' camp said that if they pull off an upset against Pacquiao, they might consider moving up to 154 (since Rios is around the same height as most people in that weight class) and possibly going for Cotto.  I think Cotto would definitely entertain the idea (since it would be another big fight between a Mexican and a Puerto Rican, plus Rios would be coming off of exposure from a Pacquiao fight), but I also read an article about how Golden Boy is supposedly trying to ink a deal for a Cotto-Alvarez fight, and they reportedly are offering him $10 million.  That one is also an interesting fight, as Canelo has exposure after fighting Mayweather (and getting watched in 2.2 million homes), but it would be a far more dangerous fight for him.

Bradley gets away with such close fights though, he didnt beat pacquiao, i had it a draw against the russian guy, and i think i had marquez winning or a draw on that fight i cant remember i have to go back and watch it.
another thing is Bradley still cant draw money, no matter how much Top Rank tries to make him a cash cow he cant draw ass's in seats and draw huge ppv's, which is preventing him with bigger fights with bigger stars...

Cotto vs Alvarez should be a good one, styles match up great and Cotto never fails to give quality matches

i still cant shake the image of his ass knocked out stone cold from that last one. is this his first fight since then?
Yeah.  Harsh KO, one that I never really wanted to re-watch.  Marquez certainly did his thing (but he got lucky with the timing of that punch since he was losing on the scorecards and was in trouble with a broken nose) and had the most significant win out of their four fights, but even if the saga ends with that as their last fight if they never face off again, Manny gets the last laugh.  He took a much smaller purse (I think it was $3-4 million to fight Bradley, rather than the $12-13 million guarantee that Top Rank was offering him to fight Manny again) and then ended up losing.  It was close, and the SD outcome made sense, but I feel like everyone (aside from the Mexican fans who were in the arena that night) felt Bradley was the winner, and he was definitely landing more significant punches.  But for the millionth time, you have Marquez claiming that he got robbed of a victory... which he already cried about regarding his first three fights against Manny, and it just really makes him look like more of a poor sport to the boxing world.  Meanwhile, Manny (coming off of two straight losses) is getting an $18 million guarantee to fight another guy also coming off of a loss.

Manny did what we thought he'd do... tag Rios all night long, bruise up his face like the rest of his opponents, but maybe go the distance (since he's not going to risk being careless again, even if he's not fighting a counterpuncher).  I read that Arum already reserved April 12th in Vegas, so we'll likely see Pacquiao-Bradley II.

Manny looked good, but definitely not as good as he had looked before.  But it sure was good to see him still throwing a ton of combos and not be scared to engage.  So he's probably put the KO behind him, otherwise we'd have seen him scared to punch.  But his defense still sucks.

Some reports came out today of Rios having failed his post-fight (urine) drug test.  No steroids, but some banned substances that help cut weight.
