It seems that KK and D either do not own computers or do not know how to operate them. I don't think they ever learned how to run their own Twitter accounts, but always had managers/homies run them, which is why there's a whole bunch of defunct 2nd II None promotional pages (according to Quik, their old managers have all died).

Or maybe they have better things to do than sit behind a computer screen getting involved in a petty argument with another grown man. 

True enough about getting into an argument, but in this era of hip hop, you're missing out on a lot of free money and promotion by not operating your own Twitter account. Everybody getting money in the rap game is active on Twitter. It's an easy way to stay relevant, to gain new fans, to keep your name known. 2nd II None is missing out on a lot of mailbox money by not running a Twitter: there's a whole generation of new fans who could buy Classic 220 on iTunes, but these fans will never have heard of 2nd II None.

Muthafuckas barely know who Quik is despite his attention-whoring antics. Whenever he does get press it's usually some negative shit, and most folks don't respect that. He's doing more damage to his already bi-polar reputation everytime he opens his mouth. Before this he was saying that Andre 3000 started a rumor about him having aids. Quik's gotta have some serious mental issues to come up with some shit like that, lol. Why should 2nd II None play along in this mess? Not everyone from this generation, but there's an occasional fan who might notice their activity and check them out. It's not that 2nd II None tweeting nonsense is going to sell records. But if fans of Snoop or some other famous rapper see him co-signing them, these fans might at least be curious about who these homies of Snoop (etc.) are. Not saying they're going to sell 1000s of records this way, but more people would know of their existence if they were active on the net. I'm sure an old rapper like WC has managed to gain and maintain his fan base thanks to his online activity. And maintaining the fan base is important too. If it weren't for a few people posting about new 2nd II None music on this forum, I would have no idea that they released any music at all over the past five years. Imagine how many other people who actually know of them and like their music have no idea they still exist.

I feel you. It's definitely important for all entertainers to maintain some level of interaction with their fan base. But in their case I really don't see it making much of a difference. Quik was never even a top dog when the west was on top and they were his lil homies so that says it all.

besides cannabis, DJ Quik has been on and off some hard and very addictive drugs for the past 15 years now. Close friends have helped but he has always fallen off. He had a top spot at Warner Brothers and messed that up too. The man is still very musically gifted but he has lashed out at both friends and family during his darkest moments
