now, i can tell u and whoisthis are both not very religious people, and thats probably why were having this convo in the first place. considering u come off as more mature than whoisthis and seemingly aren't as quick to resort to butthurt insults, lets agree to disagree, shall we?

Sorry for the late reply, didn't have much free time on my hands.

That's an easy one. Because it's a virus that is transferred best by contaminated blood or cum. Anal sex is the most likely practice to get it because the intestines get small fissures very easily. But in the same way it can be explained why women are much more likely to get it from an infected man than the other way around.
I know you were going for an approach of divine purpose and reason behind it but I'll adress that later.

Yes, morals vary. But that's why everything I said was strictly rational. You can cheat on your partner or even fuck animals for all I care. As long as nobody gets hurt in the process. That's the reason why that whole zoophilia thing seems difficult to me. But whatever.

I know Muslims and Christians or other spiritual people that have no problem at all with homosexuality and none of them is uncomfortable with (let's be honest, it's only about men anyway) gays. I'd even turn this around and say that people who are so very concerned about that whole thing are just very uncomfortable with it on a personal level and simply trying to justify a extremely egoistical notion by pretending (or believing) it to be supported by a 'higher' morale of some kind.

You can believe what you want but you can't use personal belief in place of a rational argument. That doesn't hold any weight at all. Most people would consider you being bound to go to hell anyway. Wrong god and all. That's why every religion-based argument is extremly random and subjective, cause there are millions of other people that would beg to differ on any given topic with the same point: "God says so!"

So, of course we can agree to disagree, but in conclusion I'd have to say that you didn't come up with one single valid point against homosexuality that is based on logic.

and in that case, you didn't come up with one single valid point against bestiality that is based on logic

Fraxxx:
Okay, let's just assume I didn't come up with any valid points against zoophilia. We weren't discussing it in the first place. I know why you brought it up, feel free to start a new thread about it if you think it's worth a discussion. Here it definitely seems more like an attempt to obscure that you're running low on arguments regarding the actual topic. Please don't tell me that I have to type out why the one thing being okay doesn't automatically means the other's okay, too.

So, do you have anything else?

my point is that just because something doesn't harm some1 doesn't mean it's not immoral or unnatural... i dont need an argument for why sex was meant to be between a man and a woman, because it's quite obvious. like loonely said, if gay sex was natural, then men would be able to conceive through fucking. obviously, thats not the case. sometimes, the most obvious things go over peoples head. why can fags not have children? i'm pretty sure they'd lead a much happier life if they could live normal and mate together like straights, no? the answer is in God, and since you most likely don't believe in God, this debate is pointless.

It's still not unnatural. Cause it happens A LOT with many different species. We been there but you seem to forget. And "meant to be" says nothing. Man wasn't meant to fly, too.
And like I said before:

"I know Muslims and Christians or other spiritual people that have no problem at all with homosexuality and none of them is uncomfortable with (let's be honest, it's only about men anyway) gays."

So it's obviously NOT about god per se.

And still this:

"You can believe what you want but you can't use personal belief in place of a rational argument. That doesn't hold any weight at all. Most people would consider you being bound to go to hell anyway. Wrong god and all. That's why every religion-based argument is extremly random and subjective, cause there are millions of other people that would beg to differ on any given topic with the same point: "God says so!""

We argue this whole time and all of a sudden you don't need an argument anymore? It seems more like you can't come up with anything besides your personal disapproval.

I know that this debate is pointless in terms of convincing you. And believe me, I don't even really care if you like gay people or not (we're obviously not talking about lesbians?).
It simply bothers me when people are so unbelievably condemning towards others and act like they are talking facts and what remains after a little discussion is pure, unfounded opinion. And that is clearly not enough to tell others how to live their lives, so all I hope for is that such discussions make some people realize that they don't have the right to do so.
