Snoop had a resurgence around 99-2001 and if you ask me he had a resurgence again with the Snoop Lion project.

although blue carpet treatment was dope, when snoop did top dogg and tha last meal he was in his prime and still hungry. them dogghouse days was the shit.  8)

Yep.. the Dogghouse days were dope because he was with his homies and within his element, when he started fuccin wit' Pharell was when he fell off again.
