Making room. Hopefully we splash the free agency pool with Jabari.

Sad to see Evan go.

It's crazy to see a team like 76ers go into a second rebuild mode in amidst of their rebuilding process. They gave up on their young guys way sooner than I thought they would.

Trading Hawes & Turner & getting an expiring Danny Granger contract that I can't see being resigned just screams free agency.

Praying for Wiggins or Jabari & a nice free agent. Need Nerlens to work out as a defensive presence with MCW.

Or just pay LeBron 35 million a year & let him mentor Wiggins.

Doesn't matter. Season is clearly lost. We just borrowing him for the rest of the season.

true but in terms of his overall career...he wasn't cracking the starting 5 in Indiana, rightfully so.  wonder what he'll do from here out.

If he can stay healthy, I think he'll be somebody that you'd want on your team.

I remember Granger being a big-time scorer a few years ago. What happened? Was never the same after injuries?

He was the man until he went down with injury last season.

The Pacers planned to be like "Bro, we almost beat the Heat...without arguably our best player". Then he came back & had a few glimpses, but for the most part just didn't have a role for Vogel to throw him in. I guess he just took it hard.

I'm hearing though that there might be a little internal battle in Indy now. Stephenson & Turner are going to be free agents; only room for one. Stephenson's attitude could be a strike against him too.

Nice insurance for the Pacers.

I gotcha. That is a nice pickup for the Pacers BTW. I thought they might be taking him on as reclamation project, I think my perception of him was based on his first few seasons. Didn't realize he was putting up numbers like that, albeit on a bad team.

Move is getting mixed reactions from analysts. Some say it's great & some point to Turner's 13 PER on a terrible team that he was the primary offensive focus on & how it may not translate the way the Pacers think as a role player getting far less minutes.

We'll see. I think the East comes down to Bynum. If he gets healthy & plays significant minutes, it could get wild.

Turner's problem has always been that he's inefficient and is an empty stats kind of guy, and the concern for Pacers is that empty stats guys are usually horrible as role players who don't get the freedom to do whatever they want. And there's no way in hell they'll start Turner over Lance Stephenson.

Pacers had nothing to lose though (other than their integrity) by trading away Granger. Granger has legitimately been horrible, other than the attitude he had where he willingly accepted a bench role.

actually, he was injured for all of last season, tried to come back, and got injured again before the playoffs.....then he got injured again before this season, and the pacers were doin so well that the most he'd be was a 15 mpg rotation player upon return......i duno if he's done, though. on a team like the sixers, he may potentially still be a 15-20 ppg scorer, if he can work himself back into shape....he's still only 30 years old.

as for the sixers, i see what they're doing, but i think they sold evan turner short....spencer hawes too. that's two of their best players, hands down. and evan turner was a 2nd overall pick. i saw more potential in him than just being a throwaway in a trade....but who knows, maybe they can sign some1 with that extra money. if not, then the move isn't a great one........

from the pacers stand-point, i understand granger wasnt doing so well...but he still woulda been a nice player who was familiar with the offense to have comin off the bench for indiana in the playoffs. he's known just as much for his defense as he is for his offense.. he was their franchise player just a year and a half ago. risky move both ways.
