What would have happened if he had stayed? With Kobe getting injured at the end of the season, and Nash being lucky if he could even play 15 more games for the rest of his career. We would be stuck in mid-tier purgatory and would have absolutely nothing to look forward to.

He got crucified by LA fans, NBA fans, and the sports media while he was playing here. It was an ugly situation and honestly we should be grateful he walked away from it.

He left right before a loaded draft class is coming up, and also before a bunch of high-profile contracts are expiring. If Lakers can get a good enough pick and preferably draft Embiid (don't really want to use a draft pick on a forward when there's a ton of forwards in free agency coming up the next few years), then the future would be way brighter than it would be with just Dwight Howard and absolutely nobody else.

Yes, he's a clown, but he was a clown before he came here and will be a clown moving forward. Obviously I'm exaggerating when I say he saved us, but I find it really hard to hate on the dude after the huge favor he just did for us.

faggots = take more money to stay in gay LA and win nothing because LA fucking sucks now

winners = go to Houston to play with a much more talented James Harden and take less money to hopefully win something.

If I'm correct, he took less money only in the sense that Houston was only allowed to offer four years, whereas if you re-sign to your own team, your allowed a guaranteed fifth year. I have no idea whether or not Lakers actually offered him that fifth year to begin with though.

NIK you follow college ball this year? You a fan of Embiid? Also UCLA is surprisingly on fire this year despite losing Shabazz and Larry Drew II and hiring a coach that many thought would be a horrible fit in Steve Alford.

I DONT START FOLLOWING COLLEGE TILL MARCH....BUT YEA I SEEN UCLA BEEN LOOKIN NICE 8)

I HEAR EMBIID IS MOST LIKELY TO STAY ONE MORE YEAR, BUT HELL YEA, I'D LOVE 2 SEE HIM IN A LAKER JERSEY......

I STILL THINK WIGGINS' GAME IS MORE SUITED FOR THE NBA AND HE'LL PROBABLY FALL TO A 3RD OR 4TH OVERALL PICK, WHERE WE COULD EASILY DRAFT HIM.

WE'LL PROBABLY END UP WITH WIGGINS, PARKER OR EXUM......I'LL TAKE ANY OF EM

I would gladly take Wiggins on our team if Embiid isn't available. As a matter of fact, if not for the fact that there are so many free agent forwards coming up in the next few years, Wiggins would actually have been my first pick. Dude is gonna be nice, ignore the haters.

The top 3 picks this are undoubtedly going to be Embiid, Wiggins, and Jabari, and those 3 can really go in any order depending on who has the picks. At 4 will most likely be Julius Randle from Kentucky.

Exum is dope, and the fifth pick could possibly be him, Marcus Smart from Oklahoma State (though people think he has a bad attitude after his recent fan-shoving incident), Aaron Gordon from Arizone, Tyler Ennis from Syracuse, and a few other cats. I know Exum has openly stated on several occasions that he wants to be a Laker so I feel bad saying this but unfortunately it doesn't matter what he wants, because if we get a Top 4 pick, it most likely won't be used on him. Exum is going to have to force a trade or something. International players try to pull that shit all the time, Rubio tried the same thing and Wolves said "fuck you, either play for us or don't play in the NBA." Usually the player folds lol.

lol that's most likely because we're not projected to get a top 3 pick as of now, so Laker fans are assuming we're going to end up drafting Exum. Most of the hype stems from the fact that he's been rallying for Lakers to draft him, he even came to the Laker game against Rockets. But he ain't touching Embiid or Wiggins in terms of potential.
