Suge Knight Accused Of Being Government Informant In New Documentary Based On 2P

Can’t be surprised at this accusation, right? After Suge Knight has been attached to the deaths of 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G. for quite some time, a new Kickstarter project, by Lloyd Lake called Justice For Tupac & Biggie, raises questions about Suge Knight’s involvement in the murders, and whether Knight was a possible government informant.  If it’s true or not, I’m sure it will all but destroy the image he conveyed in the 1990’s.

He was just opportunistic enough to filter off a lot of funds into various places under different names, and through ex wives etc. thanks to David Kenner, who like he did with members of the Genovese crime family, taught Suge how to protect his funds, assets and other investments........

That is why on paper he's broke. He won't be able to apply for loans, and no corporate partner or investor will ever touch him. That's why all his startups fail and why he is blackballed... Besides a few rap magazines and some little pieces on TMZ, he isn't making much noise despite his desire to want to make a commercial impact (again)

Just look at what happened when he wouldn't bend over and tow the corporate line. They went after his label. Even after he got out of Prison, they were raiding his offices and the recording studio regularly. Taking equipment, as evidence and hindering his ability to do anything.....

Sure now, we see him, he still rocks it out at all the top bars, wearing all the latest clothing and smoking his (what used to be in the past) $250 cigars. That's because of Kenner, not because of snitching.

I just think people are trying to sell their documentary, just like all those Tupac Assassination DVDs and shit trying to pass off random theories as facts.

Suge collectively did A LOT of time behind bars.  Remember his first stint was for four or five years of his nine year sentence, and that doesn't mean he was snitching either.  A lot of people get out years before the end of their sentence.  A cousin of mine who did time (and was at the same prison as Suge in 1997, at North Kern State) got nine years for attempted murder but got out in five.  Suge went to prison again anyway, then got out, and then a lot of his shorter jail stints didn't go any farther because the more significant stuff (assaults and what not) would have people who didn't want to cooperate or would just flat out disappear, and the smaller stuff (traffic violations and getting caught with weed) really isn't enough to get you locked up.

On that note, I've sat down and talked to enough estate planning attorneys to learn how a lot of wealthy people protect themselves, whether it's to avoid as much tax liability as possible (which is why a lot of celebrities keep homes in Florida, though people like Lil Wayne can still manage to fuck up their tax returns anyway since he owes the IRS $12 million) or to hide money that can never be touched.  It helps that Suge had a home in Nevada at some point (as the laws in Nevada make it harder to go after people and their assets, and it becomes an even bigger pain in the ass if the claimant is in another state, which would likely be California in Suge's case for whichever creditors were after him at that time), and it's not unreasonable to think that Suge has off-shore accounts in foreign countries.

Suge clearly doesn't have the money that he had back in the day, but rest assured, he's not REALLY broke.  Like V2DHeart said, despite claiming bankruptcy and being broke on paper, Suge still lives better than most people do who make ~$100,000 annually.  He has access to money... from always being dressed in decent gear (and stuff of that size usually costs a lot more than it does for average size people) to being in pretty decent cars... off the top of my head, we've seen him in recent years in a Camaro, various SUVs (usually Escalades), a Maserati, etc.  The properties of his getting seized was just a sacrifice he had to make to get people off his back while letting him live off of his stashed money.  So it's a way for him to have lost in court to people like Daz and Lydia Harris, but while judgments were made in their favor, they have to get in line behind a variety of entities who Suge owes money to, and they usually get first dibs on whatever money comes out of the sales of his seized assets.  And they may never see the money during their lifetimes.

Again, Suge DID serve time from 1997-2001, so the system DID get him at some point.

But if you know anything about when the law is trying to go after the figurehead of anything, whether it's a gang leader or the head of a drug cartel, they're not going to waste their time with some bullshit minor offense.  They want to get you with big charges, like finding them sitting on a huge shipment of cocaine or with a crate of fully automatic rifles smuggled into the US or with millions in cash on hand in the process of being laundered or with a smoking gun in their hand standing around dead bodies, since that's the stuff that they will have a hard time fighting and likely end up behind bars for a long time because of it.
