I want reasons....WHY was 2pac great??....WHY??

Ok, let me go on record by saying one thing: My brother is a fucking moron.  Ok, now that that is set straight lemme get to my point.  My brother doesn't like 2Pac's music.  He thinks 2Pac is overated and should'nt be considered being called the best ever, or "The G.O.A.T".  So this post is for all the Pac fans.  If you think Pac is among the greats, WHY was he so great, why was the the best to touch a microphone??  I want reasons, back up your response.  No "Because he is!"  or no "Just becuase!"  Tell me why.  Herre is why I think that 2Pac Shakur was one of the best ever....This is MY opinion......


I think Pac is the most influential rapper of all time.  He probably wasn't the greatest MC or Lyrical Rapper, but the greatest influential rapper.  2Pac made you FEEL his songs, his words, everything he was saying.  He was not afraid to let out his emotions and pour out his heart onto the song he was making.  His life was in his music, everything he thought, came across, experienced.  He wasn't afraid to let you inside of his mind.  Even if he was rapping about the simplest thing you would feel what he was talking about.  If 2Pac was so overated then why does he have hundreds, thousands of people who feel the same way that I do?  Why did he touch so many people musically?

aiight everyone here is why 2Pac was the greatest.....
2Pac was the best MC becuz he told it like it was, he didnt use a big vocabulary he used words everyone could relate too.  His lyrics touched people that is a major point, the other one is that he was controversial everyone could see him getting in his problems with the law or whatever, they could see him and relate to them,,,,,,but the reason why he is the best is because he spoke from the heart!

Tell your brother that Pac was an artist. And who's better? Giotto or Van Gogh? You cant compare artists! They all give you emotions, then it's you who gotta choose your fav one. Pac looks like the one who got the more consistent fanbase. But it's not a science. Like i said, it's you who gotta choose your fav one.

Got love for 2pac, but he ain't all that ! for me, 2pac was a rapper that came in the news every week, so alot of peepz sayin they love rap (but only 2pac), u know, maybe snoop and dre also, but Pac is tha man! HELL NO!! Now peepz wanna act hard, sayin thug life n shit like that..fuck them..I listened to 2pac back n da day , but then this shit was soooo hyped up, then I didn't care much more about 2pac, cause I'm not someone that's goin along with the crowd.(Not that I didn't care so much b4).....But there are alot of other artists, who are twice the performer that he is! So come strong if you wanna proof why he's all that!

For me, Pac was the greatest because he talked about so many topics and had so many sides to him. He could be the hardest rider on one record, then the next he could  show an emotional caring side. He could tak about the streets, the government, oppression, partying, whatever. Some ignorant people saw this as contradictory but it was actually very clever and artistic to show all those sides through music. It wasn't corny either, you could tell he always rapped form the heart.

Added to that he had the revolutionary spirit of the Panthers in his blood. He articulated the whole experience of Black oppressed people in the US and put it all on record, trying to represent every aspect of the community, from the thugged out to the college graduates. Nobody else in rap has ever attempted to do that, and nobody will ever do it as well as Pac did.

I hear that... all of you consider him a great rapper, but not simply based on his skills, but the fact that he was an activist, and his life outside of rap. Sure he's good, and sure he could tell stories, but lemme ask you... if Biggie was an activist, and if he spouted a whole lotta shit to the media like Pac did, would you consider picking him over Pac as the greatest rapper ever? Sure you would, cause you just love rappers who spout off that Thug Life horsecrap

Alright, why is 2Pac the greatest rapper, lyrist, hip-hop poet, hardest worker, passioniate, battle rapper, emotional rapper and just overall emcee to ever lived, 'cause he is the only rapper that can have all them titles, and be thought of in at least the top 3 in each catigory. No one was a verisital as 'Pac, as he can go from Dear Mama to Wounder Why They Call You Bitch, to How Do You Want It, to Keep Your Head Up, to Part Time Mutha, to I Get Around, then to Life Goes On to Hit 'Em Up, to Old School, to Against All Odds, to White Man's World, to Bomb First, and then a ton more after he died. 2Pac gave every song he ever did his all, each word said with a purpose, a purpose that no one else has had since 'Pac left us. He spoke the truth through the eyes of Tupac Shakur. You heard his heart, as whatever he was going through, he expressed it. Wither it was as big as a song to Afeni, or glorify women, or as simple as discribing a drink, 'Pac had it all. Most lyrics were simple, but never had the term Black Queen meant so much until 'Pac touched it, or hearing the saying Keep Your Head Up actually made you want for better days. He reminded us before Biggie didn't show fear for someone who breath the same air, 'Pac said "We all gonna die, we bleed though simular veins" I can paste many verses that 'Pac did, and just reading them you feel them, and then 'Pac saying them, it's amplified even more. And oh yeah, if you think 'Pac was all simplistic, shit, listen to the rhyme concepts of The 7 Day Theory, or the rhyme schemes, and the words he uses, not simplistic shit at all, but an ablum he releast knowing that it was his last album, and it reflected the skillz that everyone knew 2Pac had through out his career. 'Pac's great emotion, voice and flow meet with just great lyrics, rhyme content, and an expanded vocabulary that seems played out know, but that's because everyone bit their shit from 'Pac first. Ask Ja Rule.

hell yeah i agree that those artists are passionate also, 2pac just had the ability to take that passion and make a large amount of audience feel what he is saying in his lyrics and also relate to what he is saying.  snoop on the other hand is a big star in the rap game but he is far from passionate about his music and puts out a lot of garbage, but 2pac rarely made a half ass song
