You know me man, don't want them to have shit to do with our history. The whole relocation was bullshit, so the fact that they would want to call something that happened here theirs is bullshit too. The dude who wrote that Yahoo article seems like a nice guy and all but he's got no idea what he's talking about. No real Sonics fan wants anything to do with OKC and people here would be outraged if OKC were to claim that title on their jerseys. Payton and Kemp have both been invited to make appearances there and want nothing to do with them either. No noteworthy former Sonics players want anything to do with OKC (KD doesn't count). The whole shared history thing is retarded and is Mayor Nickels fault for not having balls and making a last minute settlement when our city had a solid case against the the ownership group. For whatever reason it's tough for out of towners to understand these sentiments but there's absolutely no love between Seattle and OKC. None.

all time supersonics/thunder team

gary payton
russell westbrook
kevin durant
shawn kemp
jack sikma

bench:  detlef schremp, spencer haywood, lenny wilkens, dale ellis, fred brown

might be a top 10 top 10 team amongst the 30 NBA teams.  that's a lot of scoring power.

Chris Hansen was asked about that when everyone thought that the Kings were coming here and it from what he said he felt like he could work something out with Bennett. At worst he could probably pay him off. The whole shared history thing makes sense given the fact that the Franchise moved, but it won't make any sense once a team is back here. Not really expecting it anytime soon given the state of available teams and expansion, but the NBA will be back to Seattle. Anyone that's followed the league knows that it's inevitable.
