I never really could get my hands on this shit back when there was a big buzz.... but I've been having a little Pac renaissance this summer.... I've been taking a lot of his unreleased songs and making my own mixes and removing any lesser verses/hooks or weak guest appearances.... I'm just now gettin around to this Makeveli and Dillinger shit....

Even though these songs were probably leftovers, you still got Daz and 2pac in their fuckin prime... Daz is blazing the mutherfuckin mic on this shit, he can't be faded.  Daz in the 90's is possibly the most slept-on Emcee, because a lot of people thought of him as a producer and he got overshadowed at times by Kurupt and Snoop....

But like I always said Daz was the second greatest producer of the 90's behind Dre and top 5-10 Emcee of the 90's...

...but anyway, we've had that debate before on here... I was startin this thread just to here ya'll thoughts on the Makeveli and Dillinger EP... and anything ya'll remember from it and from the controversy surrounding it.. I don't see how Daz did anything wrong.. like he said it is his music that he did with Pac so how can anybody tell him what he should or shouldn't do with it

Daz has never been a top 10 emcee.  Great producer no doubt though.

Infidel is wrong, this was released in the early 2000 and it was about 4 tracks that got remixed about 4 times each.

In fact, they never leaked the full album, it was only a partial leak, sold as official before Afeni closed up shop on it. Part 2 was even worse just a collection of songs.

Most of the production on there was by Mike Dean anyway.

it was about 4 tracks that got remixed about 4 times each.

I did have chop some shit up because it seemed like on some of the tracks the chorus "Don't-Go-To-Sleep Get You Cash On..." and "First to Bomb, fucc your side..." were repeated a million times throughout the EP... also there is some lesser known rapper on Dumpin, I thought he sounded like Gonzo or some cat from the Bay, I cut his shit (he's also on some other Pac/DPG cuts floatin around like "This Life I Lead") as well.....

A lot of this shit does sound like out-takes.... if you strip it all down to just the Daz and Pac verses then your gonna get some heat

And why is "They Don't Give A Fuck About Us" on there?

no wonder it was leftover shit and not Daz A Game on production (but it was Daz A game on the mic)... fucc Mike Dean... wish Suge could've beat his ass...

...Anyway, I see what Suge means about Afeni and them promoting a softer side of Pac because in most of these unreleased tracks he did with Daz he is goin to war

They don't give Daz any production credit on the Better Dayz version of "They Don't Give A Fuck About Us".

...and who are the Young Assasins?  Whoever they are I cut them out of the track
