Cobra Kai 6x1
We know at least till season 3 all sensei (yes, daniel too) are abusive to each other and to the next generation. The characters are weak. Nutin deep in them, cant grown up emotionaly or any other way.It wus fun as a youtube series. It has to be ended than.
Watched that new DIRTPOP on Netflix. It's a few episodes about the guy Lou Pearlman who started all those boybands like Backstreet, NSync, Otown, and many others. It was a clear hit-piece. I only liked the first episode because it showed all the hard work this guy put in to putting these bands together only for them to stab him in the back just because they didn't get paid millions right away when their records started selling. They didn't consider all the time and expenses this man put in to make these guys stars. The whole time I'm thinking, "okay, I don't see what's so bad about this guy, he actually seems like an angel. Then I didn't really make it to the third episode because they just kept throwing dirt on this guy without really explaining what he did that was so terrible.I mean, all I can figure out is he had some hot shot lawyer he owed money to that he didn't pay. I didn't understand what he did that was so crazy. I tried researching and couldn't find shit. They said he found new investors to pay off old investors like a Ponzi scheme, I mean it didn't seem optimum but it didn't make him Satan either. He crashed some blimps to recover insurance money, okay, that's bad business, but then at the same time he built all these great attractions in Orlando helped so many people achieve their dreams. Something seems suspicious to me about the whole story. Or maybe it's just a simple case of fraud and not paying people. So he did some bad business deals, and needs to pay them, be sued, or file bankruptcy, okay, I get it. But I didn't understand the vitriol against the poor guy.Now he's dead. ....Maurice the guy that built New Kids is an interesting story too I'd like to see a documentary like this on him.
was he jewish???probably the age-old racist “he’s a sneaky jew businessman!” trope that follows every exec in showbusinesslook at jerry heller .. without him there is no NWA…. but somehow he’s the bad guy.because most artists don’t have the vision to see just how much money and resources it takes to get a brand poppin… so they expect a huge payout immediately when the investors are still at a loss. it’s just senseless.. and if the manager is Jewish, then forget about it.
Yeah he's Jewish but so is most every high level executive in the music industry. So if it was true they are just out doing hit pieces on Jews and sending them off to prison for dozens of years then why is Jimmy Iovine still out there and countless others. On your other point I agree. I read Jerry Heller's book and really liked it. A lot of times these artists don't consider all the investment and also the RISK that was put into making their careers. It's risk and reward. The artists that Lou Pearlman was taking in were risking nothing. They were just a bunch of kids having fun. Like one of the NSync members was just a waiter at a restaurant and then started running with Pearlman. The guy was literally risking nothing to move with Pearlman. So a record exec also has to be compensated for their RISK.
