Music is music now.it's not about repping, it's about music having regional sounds since the beginning of time. artists have been classified by region from the very start. this new age of inter-region, inter-sex, inter-everything is just blurring the lines and puttin a huge dent in the game.

They wait there whole career for an opportunity to work with Dre, it's an honor and privilege and not about compensation. Now, it's also possible they will get some points on the album and maybe get a cut that way.

Few days ago someone asked Xzibit how much does he pay to Dre for a beat and X said he never trade a single dollar with Dre when it comes to the music. So I think this is partly confirmed.

That was the big one for the west coast and its dead now. And imo that's a good thing. Because everyone hopping on the same sound dilutes the music and limits creativity.
