to answer this question French has great networking/connections, came in on his own dollar from the Cocaine City DVDs, everything he raps about he really lived, he's put a lot of people in the game on the low, dude has a great ear for production like Ross does, etc. etc.

and the reason for his adlibs/voice is because 9/10 times he's in the studio he's drunk and he got blammed in the back of the head years back

I used to not fuck with French at all but he's grown on me, I can label him a sub-par rapper with a solid mixtape catalog that shits on most dudes' over the past 5 years, his album was also the best one to drop on Bad Boy in years
