Story behind 2Pac's "Late Night" (Prod. DJ Quik)

Always loved this smooth beat….

seems that the original beat was from an unreleased 2nd II None album called "The Shit" from 1994. Due to label issues, the record was held back. It was supposed to be distributed by Death Row - exec. producer Suge Knight. the latter let Pac pick and choose beats from the record, and "lets get Higher" then turned into Late Night...

Also, the OG Demo of "Heartz Of Man" was supposedly recorded using Suga Free's "Why U Bullshittin" instrumental but 'Pac didn't like it and picked up another 2nd II None beat that ended up being the retail one
