West up - Classic..

Dre - Heads ringin was repeat for years..

Coolio - no one in the world who dont know that song? - he got legendary hits..

The Pharcyde joint, never considered it a classic..

1995 was the greatest year in hip-hop

but hip-hop still had not reached it's pinnacle in 95'.  It was building to the pinnacle and then All Eyez On Me was the pinnacle and the greatest album ever made.  All of Death Row was still intact when that album came out.  Then later in the year of course you have Pac's murder at the same time the video for "Ain't Mad At You" is released, while meanwhile Dre is making history leaving gangsta rap to form Aftermath and making tracks like "East/West Killaz".  You had the height of the East/West beef and the greatest battle tracks ever like "Hit Em Up" or "Bow Down".  The game was so crowded then that you could totally miss a cat like Xzibit doing great work with At The Speed of Light. So I think you have to count 1996 as the greatest year in hip-hop.

...The one big stain on that year musically was Snoop's failure with Doggfather.  But still, 96' lives forever.
Givin' respect to 2pac September 7th-13th The Day Hip-Hop Died
