Shade Sheist News *Read*
« on: April 06, 2003, 03:08:38 PM »
Shade Sheist has been hard at work preparing for a massive industry attack this year...

Right now you can hear him on the new Chico and Coolwadda single "Doin The Most" along with N.U.N.E., produced by Mahogany ("Bad Intentions"). I will be sending the audio to WC2K and DubCNN real soon. In the meantime, tune into to Power 106 in L.A. between 6p-7p (The Goodfellas) and 7p-8p (Felli Fel) they've played it everyday last week.

Shade recently collaborated with Kokane and upcoming artist Down on a track called "Gangsta Mack."

Shade got back in the lab with his "partners in crime" Knocturnal and Nune to lace a hot 'untitled' track. No word on what project the track will be featured on.

Last night Shade recorded what may be the first single from his sophomore full-length lp with LT Hutton. They reportedly knocked out 3 additional songs for the album as well.

According to Baby Ree Entertainment Shade is currently filming a movie. Details are vague, but sources close to him say "it will change the way you listen to music."

Shade, Knocturnal, Damizza and Nune showed up on the set of Caddilac Tah's video for the first single off his upcoming album and are said to have made a cameo appearance. *This is interesting, considering Ja Rule recently released a 'Hit Em Up'-style record entitled "Loose Change" where he disses 50 Cent, Dr.Dre and Eminem (amongst others). Caddilac Tah recorded songs with both Shade Sheist ("I Got The Dutches") and Nate Dogg ("Beggin For a Whoopin") for his upcoming "Pov City Hustler" lp.

The Baby Ree Mixtape releases tomorrow (monday) to the streets exclusively. It features new music from Shade, N.U.N.E., Damizza, Westside Connection and the rest of their "alliance." For those who can't get their hands on a copy, Baby Ree plans on releasing the mixtape online through an audio player that will allow you to also download the tracks and burn them to a cd.

The Caddilac/Nate record was recorded before 50 cent returned, and before Murder Inc. began working with Death Row. Obviously Nate wouldn't have done it recently.

Chico and Cool are currently working on a new lp under the watch of Shade and Damizza who recently gangstered them out of their deal with MCA, the same way they removed themselves from the label last year.

is it true that they're signed to daz dillinger's DPG recordz?

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
