Sam Sneed burst onto the hip hop scene out of Pittsburgh, Pa as a producer for K-Solo and the Hit Squad in 1992. The following year he linked up with Dr. Dre and Death Row Records. Sneed became well-known for his catchphrase “My name is Sam Sneed, you
better recognize!”, which originally appeared in the song “Pump, Pump” off the Snoop Doggy Dogg debut album, Doggystyle. He also appeared in the Death Row movie, Murder Was the Case, which also spawned Sam Sneed’s “U Better Recognize” single, featuring Dr. Dre, included in the movie’s soundtrack. In a cadid interview Sam tells of his time with Death Row and gives us the real on his infamous altercation. He also opens up about living with cancer and gives his take fellow Pittsburgh native Wiz Kalifa. The single “Gorilla Pimpin'” from his new album “Street Scholars” is featured.
