Fashawn 'The Ecology' Documentary

The odds are stacked against anyone trying to “make it” in the music industry. Regardless of skill and drive, you need a certain amount of luck. However, hard work and determination can often provide you with multiple opportunities to be in the right place at the right time.

The odds were stacked against Fashawn long before he ever picked up a microphone. Born in Fresno, California—a city know for its lack of economic opportunity—Fashawn and his sister were placed in a group home while his father was incarcerated and his mom struggled with drug addiction. The story is unfortunately common in America. However, Fashawn is living proof that the cycle can be broken.

In a new documentary directed by Punit Dhesi, Fashawn shares the story of his comeup through the eyes of his family and friends. From his mother reflecting on her battle with addiction to his manager relieving the emotion he experienced when Nas signed Fashawn, the 16-minute film is packed with visceral moments.

it seems like all you care about is the buzz, dude has had a decent career and has already toured with legends so far and is definitely not a newcomer, he's been around for years now.

you mean "hardly anyone knows who he is" on the forum or in general ?
