Hats off to him for all he's done... but he'd better give the franchise their money's worth for his final season.  Not saying we have to win it all (though that would be ideal), but if we can get the Kobe who was playing in the second half of the 2012-2013 season, that would be nice way to end it.  I don't doubt he'll go all out.

Good decision but I think he should figure out that conclusion after the achilles thing... he already did everything to be considered an all-time great, no need to risk another injury and beating your body up.

Kobe was actually still playing like one of the top players in the league for the majority of that season, it was when the team around him got healthy/stepped up when they finally started winning games. The Achilles injury was crushing, hasn't been close to the same since. Shame to see.
