not true...some of the most lyrical west coast rappers came out the bay. for instance, take ice cube's cousin del. he's a lot more lyrical and witty than cube. but u havent listened to enough bay to know that...u just speakin on shit u dont know, straight up. it sounds ignorant tbh, but it is wit it is. maybe one day ull discover somethin new. then again, like bouli said, it's all circumstantial.

I fux with Del, own two of his albums...but he's kind of an oddball type of rapper...he's not really your standard Bay Area rapper

Bay Area is the most slept on and underrated hip-hop region of all time - period.

see, thats what im talkin bout...thats ur ignorant side speakin. there are lotsa rappers in the bay wit a more lyrical style, not just del. whats your "standard bay rapper"? sounds to me like u havent heard enough to know.....but take the mac mall joint i posted. is that standard bay to u? because the content is identical to what pac would spit pre-death row. and u know why? cuz pac was pretty much raised by the bay (as a rapper). if u ever do decide to expand your horizons, the bay area is where u should most definitely start.

Pac was not raised by the Bay as a rapper.  You really need to read the book "Back In The Day" that was written by 2pac's childhood best friend who was in a group with Pac back in Baltimore.  Pac was nearly signed to a record label all the way back when he was living in Baltimore.  People think Pac was some ballerina going to Shakespeare plays with Jada Pinkett and shit like that when he was in Baltimore.  No, Pac was deep in the hood in Baltimore, making frequent trips back to New York to sleep on the floor of crowded family homes, and battlin gangsta mutherfuckaz in the hood to earn his props as a rapper the hard way...

Pac was a full-fledged artist already in Baltimore, along with battlin all the top rappers in the city, he was also performing shows and working hard on his craft every single day.  So please stop over-exaggerating The Bay's presence in Pac's life.

When Pac was asked why he became a rapper he said that, "He had MOVED AROUND A LOT, and that Hip-Hop was the common denominator IN ALL OF HIS TRAVELS".  So the Bay was just a part of who Pac was as a rapper, possibly 1/4 at the very most.

Bay Area gangsta rap isn't the most lyrical type of rap, but then again Infinite just said Dre was a Top 10 rapper and worships Snoop and Death Row, which is not the most lyrical type of rap (to say the least) and whose lyrical output is on par with your average bay area artist.

the bay has its fair share of dope lyiricists though : San Quinn, Goldy, Fatha Dom, E-40, Yukmouth, Numskull, Locksmith, Ray Luv etc. but then again why bother respond when Infinite is making bold claims about things he admits not knowing. His opinion is based on a hunch and he refuses to bump artists "on principle". hard to take someone seriously after that.

People acting real condescending towards Infinite just because he has a different opinion.
Get off your high horses.

There is still no reason to be condescending towards him.
And there is no reason to be cheeky in your reply.
Real is fake.

there is no reason to think real is fake, unless you yourself are fake and want really badly to be real.
