we used cheerleaders as a replacement for a mascot at a time when cheerleaders in the nba was unheard of....thats why lakers dont have a mascot. because thats what them bitches is for.

To be fair, I can't picture the lakers having a mascot.  It would probably look like a water creature like this laker shirt i've seen in the 90's.  Man full of water-laker.   Iceman-like but not frozen ice.
