The Outlawz: Where Will They Go From Here?
« on: July 12, 2015, 03:44:24 PM »
With the untimely death of Hussein Fatal, the Outlawz (as a current group) is down to just two members, EDI and Young Noble.

Clearly, they're going to have to add a member or two if they want to be considered a rap group rather than just a pair of collaborating rappers.

I see two possibilities:

1) Nuttso, who already released collaborative albums with EDI and Fatal, could simply become a full-time Outlaw member. He's been active in social media and seems interesting in getting money again in the rap game.

2) Big Syke and/or Mopreme could join the group, and this would really revitalize the Outlawz in terms of their creativity, I think. Mopreme has been very active in social media lately, with his VladTV interview and TAT interview, and such activity seems a little pointless if you don't try to capitalize off your buzz. He's always been a dope spitter, so it would be nice to hear him over some current production.

The least attractive possibility, in my opinion, is to resurrect Kastro or (improbably) Napoleon. Even worse, though, would be to add some no-name rapper who never met Pac.

What y'all think?

Some of the wickedest raps I've heard from these two...
A MUST HAVE ALBUM!!!

N I'm sure they got unfinished work from Fatal they can build on....

I'm thinking OUTLAWZ LEGACY ALBUM.... THE THUG LIFE OBITUARY....

I think the best look would be to add Big Syke & Mopreme

R.I.P. Fatal

when i saw they were supposed to be doing shows overseas next month I thought the same thing

you gonna jus field EDI and Noble?  the smartest thing would be to add Big Syke so you can have him preform Picture Me Rollin and All Eyez On Me every concert to get the fans into it  but damn man, replacing Fatal is tough.  He was the best member plus they did all those songs together since getting back together.

I disagree. Young Noble has continually gotten better with time. EDI is mediocre, but he sometimes delivers great verses. Nuttso is always dope. Mopreme has a lot of heart and is a good writer, if not an extraordinary lyricist. He sounded great on that song dissing Funkmaster Flex. And Big Syke is a classic personality - not a great technical rapper, but someone with a lot of presence, who would sound cool on some 2015 beats, in my opinion.

Plus, you know they're not just going to call it quits. Noble is addicted to grinding, and EDI seems to enjoy it too. If anything, the death of Fatal should inspire the two of them to go even harder this year, and next year will be big for Tupac affiliated rappers (with the movie coming out, 20-year anniversary of death, etc.), so you know they're going to be active and representing Pac, Yak, and Fatal, among all their other dead homies.

Noble and EDI alone can do a good 5 classic Pac songs during a concert mixed with 10 other Oulaw songs to field a nice hour long set

but damn man losing Fatal hurts   he was most respected in the industry.  i bet a lot of NJ police are happy they can close the case on seveal crimes attributed to him  ;D

The outlawz have been done since around 2007-ish...in the mainstream they've been done since the 90s but a portion of their work always had substance until after the release of can't sell dope forever...individually and collectively they just began to seem tired and maintaining the image they built with Pac seemed too much of a burden, their lyrics and subject matter became repetitive...even tho you can't front and say young nobles son of God wasn't a pretty solid album

I disagree. Perfect Timing was the best album the Outlawz ever released, in my opinion. Their recent releases have generally been of higher quality than the music from the early 2000s era.

Maybe I'll have to give it another listen I just remember listening to their killuminati mixtape series and not being too impressed...I do see what your saying tho mainly because like I said son of God was incredible I felt like noble and the outlawz sounded rejuvenated on it....the era where big Hollis did a large portion of production was dope especially when you consider the collaboration albums that were released like thug brothers, against all odds, solider to solider etc...and I loved outlaw 4 life 2005 and ride wit us...maybe correa is just trippin in the first place ha

The last outlawz album was Perfect Timing and they said it was their last album. the outlawz should forget the group thing it didnīt worked out look everybody left. first it was Outlaw Immortalz Big Syke & Mopreme left the group in 96, then Hussein Fatal left after pacīs & Yakīs death, then female outlaw Storm left, then napolen left, then the outlawz decided to add a 4th member with that corny ass bitchass Stormey and this didnīt worked out because the fans didnīt liked him and they was right. then Kastro left in 2010 or 2011 because the outlawz didnīt helped kastro & kastro didnīt liked what the outlawz was doin always using pacīs name in every place like live performance they using these old songs playback etc. and then in 2011 the oulawz released perfect timing with Hussein Fatal as a 3rd member and then they said it was they last album...because they knew that this album woulnīt sell much.

this album from edi&noble in 06 was trash...and this is not a group thing this is a egothing.

Ediīmean calling him self Edidon fuckoutta here youīre Edithefatboy...punk and Noble has Fallen of since 05...

Close this Group and hold the good times.
