We don't know which tracks actually morphed into COMPTON, but it seems certain that "Talking to My Diary" is one.

It was indeed a track for the scrapped album..Mr Choc said 5 or 6 years ago he had a track that Dre told him was gonna make the cut...

not really man.. cause if this was Detox then it would have tracks like "Kush", "I Need A Doctor", "Topless", "Under Pressure", and so on.  This sounds like something fresh Dre came up with this year.  So I think it is worthy of a new title.

I do get your point though, that basically Dre just was recording tracks for the last 15 years and finally had enough good ones to call it an album, and gave it a fresh name

thats dre works....he doesnt make songs specifically for an album. he just makes music. everything he was working on from 1999 until the day "compton" was announced was for "detox".....lol.

it's just that, towards the end, prolly a couple months back, he finally decided "i'm not guna call this detox anymore because of all the hype surrounding....im gunna tie it into the nwa movie and call it 'compton' to create a new buzz. no strings attached and everyones happy".....

and kush dropped 4 years ago, would be pretty dumb to put it on an album now, or any of the leaks for that matter.

This album is Detox. He  changed the name and finally dropped it because of all the free promo he's getting from the movie.
