But what was the album that got you into westcoast rap?

Mine was e-40 in a major way....it had already been out for 10 years when I ended up with it but it changed my life, for Christmas in 2005 my mom bought it for my dad and for whatever reason they got into a huge fight that night and he said he didn't want it so I took it haha I played the hell out of it on a portable CD player for weeks straight he died 2 months later and he never got it back I still keep the exact copy in my car...was slappin it today 10 years later...

How about you guys any stories on how you got into the scene big enough to be a member of Dubcnn?

Na its ok man...most of us have a life to live and dont have time to go searching through all the old posts on here to see if its
been discussed before like some of them on here do haha!

Mine was Warren G - Regulate..G Funk Era
Before Warren i had 2Pac albums but not all the content of his stuff was pure Westcoast

The album / Albums that got me into rap were Slick Rick - The Great Adventures of Slick Rick / 2 Live Crew Nasty As They Wanna Be / Ice T - Freedom of Speech / Public Enemy - Fear of a Black Planet.

But the song.... Ice-T - Colors.... I heard it in the movie in 1989 and was hooked from that point on.

Then I got into Eazy-E / NWA / Ice Cube. It was now in full effect.
