Quik gives the best interviews, and this is one of the best he's done. He just loves to be honest and speak candidly.

He's spoken before about how Second II None fucked up the deal with Interscope for no good reason, but he never explained just how good the deal was. It's amazing to think that if KK and D were not idiots, Quik and Second II None would all be household names right now, and they would be super rich. Turning down that deal must have been one of the worst decisions in the history of rap.

Yeah... if they signed to DR:

GOOD Things:

probably we would have "ThA Shit" in CDQ.

probably DJ Quik and 2nd II None would be featured as rap guests in All Eyez On Me

Safe + Sound would have sold like 1.5 millions

More DJ Quik collabos with Pac, Snoop, DPG, Nate and even Dre.

BAD THINGS:

probably Quik wouldn't have discovered Suga Free.

Rhythmalism probably would be called something like "Gangsterizm"

Mc Eiht feud could become more violent.

Quik not signed to DR...they lost the opportunity..

But Quik learned a lot with this, and the final result: end of mc eiht feud and one of the smoothest albums of all time.(rhythmalizm)

@theo. totally caught the chris brown diss. it's like when he said lil wayne and them being bloods is laughable. also thought it was interesting he knows some of the people involved with the snoop dogg situation. quik really is hood and still linked with the streets. i'm always fascinated by his interviews, vocabulary, and how quick/witty he is. fantastic interview
