Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) Retires, Drops “No More Parties in SA”
« on: January 20, 2016, 07:02:18 AM »

“This is not an expression of fear, this is just to make things clear”In a lengthy new voicemail message left for Kanye West, Yasiin Bey spits a freestyle called “No More Parties in SA,” (inspired by Kanye’slatest single), explains his side of his recent arrest in South Africa and announces his retirement from music and film “effective immediately.” Bey explains that he believes he did nothing wrong in presenting a ‘World Passport’ while trying to leave South Africa last week and states that this particular document is accepted all over the world and has been for several year. He also goes on to say that he believes the entire incident and his continued detention are politically motivated and reasserts his unconditional innocence. Finally, he states that he’ll be dropping one more album, his last, before closing the call out with some more bars.Listen below and FREE YASIIN!

This is strange... so instead of displaying his American passport he tried to show them a World Passport?   Then because of that they put him in prison.  I guess he was wanting to prove a point that we are all world citizens.  The world isn't quite ready for that yet, but maybe it takes visionaries like Mos to push the world forward.

He hasn't done anything noteworthy musically since like 2004 anyway. Not surprised.
