Nate Dogg died five years ago today on March 15, 2011 in Long Beach, California. Though he died at only 41 years old due to complications of multiple strokes, he still left his mark on hip-hop via his solo career as well as collaborations with many of music’s biggest names.

In fact, his work with other artists earned him four Grammy nominations in 13 years.

In honor of the anniversary of this death, here are six of Nate Dogg’s most influential, enduring collaborations:

RIP to one of the all-time greats.  I know most may not consider him as a rapper, but I do.  I consider his singing as another form of rapping.  And in a way it was a style all his own.  I still remember the first time I heard him on "Ain't No Fun" how much it tripped me out because he was singing like one might sing a classic love song but yet the lyrics were all gangsta shit.....

He's got a permanent spot in my top 10.  RIP to one of the all time greats.
