My Son by Bez

Why's life so wrong, its always treatin me bad,
All along you longed to just call me Dad,
You couldent find the words, I know shit hurts,
You gotta belive I've searched for you since birth,
Your mother ran off, scared of what was in store,
I thought I had her and you, everything I'd asked for,
Couldent belive she held fear, I was always here,
Waitin for the call to say Dad I wanna see yer,
Your Mum was so afraid, she had no need to be,
I would be the one gettin paid to feed her you and me,
Yet she still ran away, you must of been wrapped in sheets,
I couldent wait for the day, we would finally meet,
Lord knows I looked, searched the nation for you both,
Everytime I thought I was near, I knew I wasn't even close,
The worlds so large, like lookin for a needle in a haystack,
Every night I'd sit and pray, wishin for your mother and you to come back,
We had a good thing going, Me and your Mum's seemed happy,
I was dumb for not knowin that your Mother felt crappy,
Stressed from the pregnancy, gunna be a mother so young,
Her family disowned her, told her, an abortion or so long,
That to me was just so wrong, I really loved your Mum,
I can finally put to rest my tears, I finally found my son,

(Hook) Sometimes when life ain't going right at all, (Life ain't goin right at all)
And people don't wanna love you, anymore, (Wheres the love, wheres the love)
You gotta stand up, be yourself and smile,
Stand up, like me, I've finally found my child,

Rain splashes down, bounces off my hat,
I realise what I lost, I can't believe, I can't,
Never gotta to see your face smile, so truly tender,
I always loved my child, God please help me remember,
Your Mother's always in my heart, whats done is done,
I have always forgived her for takin you my son,
She did what she thought was right on the night,
Please Lord give me a sign that they doin alright,
Didn't even know your name, dam such a shame,
I ain't hear to point the blame, I just wanna see you,
Nobody knows the pain I feel, hurtin so bad inside,
finally, there go's the last tear I'll cry,
Cos I've finally found you, we re-united as a family,
We like the 3 muskerteers, but our story ended in tradgety,
Wish I could hug your Mother, I've longed for her kiss,
Some times I'll sit and remenisce about the times I miss,
I was a modern day Romeo, you where my Juliet,
We had the perfect baby boy, who I'll never forget,
Cos I can't forget, my pain got a grip around my heart,
I bet you would been a Doctor or Teacher, somebody so smart,
I wish we could of been together, Mum Dad and you son,
But whats important is that we here, no more fear, I'm done,
The cold sense of a spirit hits my skin, is that you son,
My son?

(Hook) Sometimes when life ain't going right at all, (Life ain't goin right at all)
And people don't wanna love you, anymore, (Wheres the love, wheres the love)
You gotta stand up, be yourself and smile,
Stand up, like me, I've finally found my child,

The downpour becomes worse, I'm all soaked through,
But I'm here to ease the fear, I gotta do what I gotta do,
I've finally found you, both at the same place,
You both restin, you in heaven, life was such a waste,
I hope you can hear me, I always loved you both,
I now got nothing to live for, wonderin should I join you both,
Your headstones read Jane and John, John thats your name,
So beautiful like your mothers, almost the same,
Never got a chance in life to speak to you, John,
When I heard you were here, I knew you was gone,
But I'm a still say what I've been plannin to say for years,
I've been lookin so long, God dam I wanna see yer's,

Need a sign your both listening, then the rain finally stops,
I look up to the sky and breath, a gust of wind comes from nowhere,
The whole world become silent, A voice says Dad you need a sign from me,
I wanna let you know I always loved you, Both me and Mum did,
Where both always on Earth in spirit, He says look up to the trees,
See the birds in it?, were there, thats you Mum and Me! We love you Pop,

The sun appears over head, lightens up your tombstone's,
I now got no need to be afraid,
We will re-united one day, and one day soon, I'm gunna get to see your face, my son!

(Hook) Sometimes when life ain't going right at all, (Life ain't goin right at all)
And people don't wanna love you, anymore, (Wheres the love, wheres the love)
You gotta stand up, be yourself and smile,
Stand up, like me, I've finally found my child,
My child,
My Child,
Myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy chillllllllld,
