My Son by Bez

Why's life so wrong, its always treatin me bad,
All along you longed to just call me Dad,
You couldent find the words, I know shit hurts,
You gotta belive I've searched for you since birth,
Your mother ran off, scared of what was in store,
I thought I had her and you, everything I'd asked for,
Couldent belive she held fear, I was always here,
Waitin for the call to say Dad I wanna see yer,
Your Mum was so afraid, she had no need to be,
I would be the one gettin paid to feed her you and me,
Yet she still ran away, you must of been wrapped in sheets,
I couldent wait for the day, we would finally meet,
Lord knows I looked, searched the nation for you both,
Everytime I thought I was near, I knew I wasn't even close,
The worlds so large, like lookin for a needle in a haystack,
Every night I'd sit and pray, wishin for your mother and you to come back,
We had a good thing going, Me and your Mum's seemed happy,
I was dumb for not knowin that your Mother felt crappy,
Stressed from the pregnancy, gunna be a mother so young,
Her family disowned her, told her, an abortion or so long,
That to me was just so wrong, I really loved your Mum,
I can finally put to rest my tears, I finally found my son,

We had the perfect baby boy, who I'll never forget,
Cos I can't forget, my pain got a grip around my heart,
I bet you would been a Doctor or Teacher, somebody so smart,
I wish we could of been together, Mum Dad and you son,
But whats important is that we here, no more fear, I'm done,
The cold sense of a spirit hits my skin, is that you son,
