[Ebony Zebedee]

Im just making the very best I can of a negative situation
Using the isolation, provocations and abuse as inspiration
Im trying to embrace reality even though I see my future destination
As a bleak and disastrous state of being
Hoping for emancipation

Vainly I hold in high esteem efforts and works that serve as good
Knowing realistically that others believe I shouldn’t
As their perception of me is skewed by what I was not what I would
And the fact is not many are granted second chances although we could

So basically
Im distastefully expressing fear, remorse, regret
Which is seen and judged as weak by those who choose not to forget
They’ve got grudges
Seething with resentment
Wishes still unmet
Presently Im granted a freedom and have yet to pay my debt

Sure Ive tried to make amends with many of my foes
I do not seek forgiveness
I reach out feeling I have grown
But to them Im still the same person who spat upon their throne
And so I choose to limit risks by just keepin to my own

At which point did you arrive to the conclusion that I was in any way seeking your approval?

Im partial to feedback but being I openly identify as an amatuer poet I must object.

I have no interest in learning what candence or any other technical terms in relation to the art of rhyming.

Im not acting high and mighty Im simply expressing myself artistically in a forum that states lyrics are welcome.

These lyrics are representative of a human experience and serve as a distraction from the nightmares I occassionally find myself consumed by.

Accent has alot to do with the ability to rhyme and in my vernacular my amateurish attempt to rhyme serves me well.
