as for the music this an amazing piece of work much like their debut LP. highly evolved & minimal sort of production with lush orchestration & barebones sort of elements to compliment the songwriting. a sparse but big sound and consciously dropping electronic elements in favour of more acoustic, ambient backdrops.

where it shines for me is where the funk does creep back in and you have amazing multi-layered compositions which take you on a groovy ride. personal standouts are the into track 'Light' which settles into a smoothed out groove after the buildup and switches up several times.

then there's 'Neverloved' on the Night section, again BIG orchestral funk with minimal elements. lush string sections & guitar plucks to get your head nodding and a killer vocal that perfectly compliments the piano drops.

overall a production masterclass - high concept, cinematic, epic & fleshed out while also being very spacious & barebones with much of the musical direction.
