...I spent my time in much more worthwhile pursuit, diggin in the crates for gems.  Found a lot of uncovered treasure from the early 90's Pre-Chronic era.  I didn't become a head until the Chronic dropped, so the only rap I really was into before that was like Wrex in Effect, Young MC, and a little bit of LL like pop hits like "Mama Said Knock You Out". 

...So to dig a bit deeper and see the shit that groups like Das Effex, EPMD, Black Sheep, Kool G Rap, Masta Ace, MC Lyte, even Slick Rick and Big Daddy Kane were still making noise then.. KRS was still droppin prime level material like I think "Love's Gonna Get Ya" didn't drop till early 90's.. there is just so much great classic material there to dive into with the 90-92 era

I agree. I’ve been going back to the 80s since I got into my 30s. There’s great stuff even from around 86. Rakim, KRS, BDK, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, The DOC, NWA, Eazy E, Slick Rick, EPMD. Like you said.
