what u think is more important???
i would have to say the beat. i can listen to any kind of lyrics with a dope beat, but if its a shit beat with the best lyrics, i cant listen to it.

I would say both are very important. Beat - flow - chorus - lyrics, combination of those 4  ;D

The beat has to be tight. If I can't bob my head to it than I won't listen to it. Of course lyrics are important but the first thing that you hear when a song starts playing is the BEAT.

I compare it to finding a girl...

In the long run, the personality is the thing that matters, and looks are secondary.  She's gotta look good first to get your attention and then you get to know her and like her for her personality and that's why you stay with her.  I look at a song the same way.

The production has to be bangin' to get my attention at first.  Then I listen to the lyrics and that's what gives the song replay value.  If the beat is hot, but boring lyrics, then over time I get tired of the track.  The lyrics is what keeps me listening.
