I’m okay with calling it a near-classic it was a part of the G-Unit era which was the last great era in hiphop (even Nas said that) and then Lil Wayne grabbed the crown and it’s been skinny jeans ever since, but I digressAs for the G Unit era a lot of bangers came out of it but only the album that started it all Get Rich or Die Trying reaches the level of “classic”.
Hoax. Its aint classic. Neva was, neva will.A commercial neva gonna be a classic.
Say what now? Please explain.
A commercial neva gonna be a classic.
its a full time hype for g unit and nwa, dr dre.almost every track he just repeat their name, and legacy.Game is an aight rapper with good songs, and good albums, but this is his full time stan mode only. His 2nd album.Thast a strong one, thats a good album.but this?nah.
Are you sayin' a commercially successful album can't be a classic? Never??
Album is full of skippers. So it is not a classic.
+1And the rest is written by 50cent...
In my opinion its a shade below a classic, to me a classic album has somewhat of a crossover appeal to other genres. Like a casual hip hop listener knows what illmatic and chronic etc is, i guarantee most music listeners have never heard of the documentary. Granted i wouldn't be mad if someone said its a hip hop classic, but straight up classic in the same vain as pink flyod dark side of the moon, marvin gaye whats going on, no it definitely isn't
You haven't backed up your position with any valid arguments and this response tells me you're everything I need to know you can't view things objectively.
