I had no idea that Snoop made it to the Top 40 pop  songs in the nation... that's incredible, he has never ever ever ever been in the top 40 songs since....well I certainly cannot remember a Snoop Dogg single ever reaching this milestone....I'm not talking hip hop songs, I'm talking POP countdown... when you reach the POP countdown, you've reached the mainstream audience... last week  he was number #37 on the countdown, and he is still there this week... congrats man,that's super dope

obviously, no one really knows how big this is... I dont think Snoop has ever been in the top 40 until this single... you see peeps like Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Nelly etc etc in here all the time, but Snoop... never! The top 40 is where critics base "good" music... if you don't reach the top 40, you're not a good artist in their mind... the last time snoop was in the top 40, was when "Next Episode" made a three week appearance, but even then, it was a Dre song, not a Snoop song....

plus this song Beautiful has been out for a while now and finally it is starting to reach mainstream, as soon as this happens, you get 12 yr old girls copping the album and then, they find other songs they  really like, and then, the chance for more singles is imminent

Snoop's been in the game for over 10 years... and not once has one of his songs reached mainstream praise... back in the day, in '92, his shit was popular RAP music, but not one of his songs really dropped into top 40... Snoop did not sell his shit...he always raps about women and shit, just cause people dig it this time, doesn't mean his shit is sold out, you need to realize that people in this forum wanna see their favorite artists succeed... we are fans... the reason we hate Nelly, Ja and so on, is because these cats come and present themselves as these rich rolling, teeth glistening thugs... how many true thugs do you know that are RICH! Come on now... slap yo self for even falling into their hype... sure, maybe down the road in a few years, they'll have the money and they can drop songs about money, but on your debut album... HELL NO! That's why 50 cent is soooo hot, his shit is die hard real and black folks respect that more than anything...

Snoop's been in the game for 10 years and pop culture has ignored him... but his music is in demand with "beautiful" ... people cop the single, the song raises the chart... and then you get to where the song is now... it's just climbing... and Top 40, is top 40 songs in the nation... whether is poppy, rap, rock, r & b... anything... how is it selling out?

Give props to the man... he has one of the most popular songs out right now... since when has that happened?

Yeah Beautiful is a Big Hit a success I dont know why the peeps are hating this is a great song the beat is Hot the hook is Hot , the bridge is off the Hook and Snoop's flow was Hot..But just one question what If it was LT Hutton who produced the track would there be alot of hate??...I think people are mad because Snoop is fucking with Neptunes but they dont realize that its a good thing because it shows that Snoop is versatile and can flow on any type of beats.

Yep...in the top 40 with Pop and all that shit.  My cracka'z brother was in town the other day and he listens to corny ass music (the wack side of alternative, Backstreet Boys, N Sync, etc.).  He doesn't like rap at all...but he went out and bought Snoop's Paid the Cost because he likes the song "Beautiful" so much.  If HE likes a Snoop song, then something is wrong...

I hate the Neptunes, but I think Beautiful is a dope song.  And putting snoop into the same category as nelly and ja rule is just fuckin ridiculous.  Snoop makes good music, whether its a pop hit or not, nelly and ja rule just make shitty music in general.  And I would rather listen to my owned burned album of the most poppy, least gangsta sounding, most disliked songs of snoop, over any ja rule or nelly album anyday.  And you guys should be fuckin happy for this, its good for the westcoast rap scene.
