Rakim did multiple interviews why his album never came out due to creative differences. The bottom line is 9.9 times out of 10 Dre not going to release your music, let alone a full album with his tracks unless you’re a groundbreaking or multi-platinum artist. Stat Quo, even Busta isn’t that. We're here talking about this because the mystique and anticipation Dre brings. Our definition of shelved is different.

Busta is dope but not on that level for Dre. Just facts
I still don't get what did you mean by "those were just mentions"? They weren't just mentions, those albums were officially in the works, some of them were almost completed, there were official tracklists. So what Rakim's album didn't come out because of creative differences - it still didn't come out, which means the album got shelved.

Your logic here is flawed. Since when is Busta "not on that level" for Dre? Did you forget that they did and actually managed to release his album on Aftermath? It was his second album that got shelved. Not to mention the shit they did prior to that and how Dre always been praising Busta as one of the most unique and greatest artists.

No man. There was a mutual agreement to part ways; you can’t say it was Dre’s decision not to release Rakim. Shelved is the shit finished, and we not putting it out.

Busta ain’t Snoop and would never get a full Dre-produced album. Big deal his first was on Aftermath. How many songs did he produce? You’re too hung up on shelved and think because there’s a track list, it’s automatically happening. Was Eazy-E “Temporary Insanity” and NWA's third joint “Not These Ni**gaz Again” shelved? What’s your point about Dre? If you’re convinced Missionary is not coming based on Dre’s long history of shelving projects, why are you so interested?

Yes lol, it's a big deal. He's one of the very few artists that actually got to release the album with Dre.
He produced/co-produced more than a half of the album, which is the biggest part in production he ever he played on any of Aftermath releases other than Relapse and 2001. So what's your point?

Man what the hell are you even talking about? We're discussing the albums Dre had shelved over the years. The real albums that were officially announced and finished or were really close to being finished. Yes, NWA reunion album was never real (there wasn't a tracklist for it btw), it was more like an idea and was exactly what you said - a mention. Just like Cube 2003 Aftermath album. But Statlanta, Busta second album, Jon Connor album, Hittman album, King T - all of those were done/almost done and still got shelved.

What am I talking about? You’re an idiot. Dre didn’t push those albums dawg because they wouldn’t have done big numbers. I’m tired of going back and forth with you. Not my problem you’re oblivious to reality. You must be from another country. All of em were shelved, you happy now? Missionary will be released. No one gives a fuk about Jon Conner, and Stat Quo.

What reality, you dumbass clown? It's not my fault you can't read. Your original statement was that Dre had never shelved any projects
The only album Dre shelved is Detox. Yes, there’s been talk of various projects over the years, but they were never official projects.
We gave you the examples of other official projects that were completed that Dre scrapped. Nobody was talking about the sales or how people don't give a fuck about that or this artist.

But if you think Dre didn't release them because he was afraid of them not selling well then you're a fucking dumbass. Acting like Truth Hurts, Anderson Paak and The Wash don't exist lol. Casablanco ain't gonna be a success as well and yet it's still coming out. And everyone knows that even if Missionary will come out, it won't be a huge hit either, people don't care about Dre and Snoop's new music that much.

Stat Quo would've easily go platinum back in 2006 btw, he had the whole Shady/Aftermath camp behind him. So you're wrong again.

Proven wrong? You’re a fucking idiot. I’ve been in this game long enough. I gave the main album people give a fuck about when they think of Dre shelving music. Nobody gives a shit about Stat Quo, Busta 2nd album, etc. It was a generalized statement… I told you three fucking times Rakim wasn’t shelved, but you’re too stupid to understand the concept. I know you not even from the States. Talking shit like you're trying to school someone who knows more about this West Coast shit than you ever will. This was about Missionary and why he not shelving Snoop.

SQ not going platinum back then. Dre always wanted to work w/ Marsha. Missionary does better than you think lol. You don’t know shit.

Been in this game long enough but still a clueless moron, yeah, sure. Shit, you're so dumb you don't even understand that this shit doesn't have anything to do with the west coast, so your co-called "knowledge" is of no use, it's literally just about you making up random ass conclusions and typing up statements that don't even make sense. I showed you your own quote with you saying Detox was the only album Dre ever shelved. People in this thread gave you multiple other examples of Dre shelving finished projects. And now you trying to say this isn't what you meant, that it was a generalized statement or making up the reason why those albums didn't come out... Don't embarrass yourself any further, you clearly said Detox was the only one, but even if we gon pretend like no one cared about Stat or Busta - so what, their albums were shelved anyway, so you just straight up contradicting yourself.

You saying Stat Quo wouldn't be platinum in 2006 basically proves that you have no idea what you're talking about. I'm not even a fan of his, but everybody who was around back then knows how huge the G-unit/Shady/Aftermath movement was. You're probably wasn't even alive back then, so it makes sense shit sounds wild to you.
By the way, I can tell you aren't from the States either and you no older than 16, judging by what you're saying.
