To be fair, these 2 beats are sick, way better than the Compton sound, which is what I assume the worry is from
Compton is perfect for me.
RBX told me snoops going to be in Paris for next month or so. So no progress on missionary
In the last ten years, I can only think of ONE song off the top of my head that fits what I want Missionary to sound like, and that song is ETA off. The production has a great sample and isn’t just full of a bunch of sounds that don’t fit together like lots of recent Dre production. Hopin for a lot more off those vibes PLUS a a few monster singles ala Still Dre. Anything less and it’s a disappointment
Nah beats are still dope, but nothing about them sounds like "only Dre can do it" to me. Dem Jointz can produce shit like that on his own (Guilty Conscience 2 is a proof of that).Look at his GTA Ep: Dre has production credit on every record on it, but all of those records sound like something a person whom he shared a credit with would do without his involvement. I mean, a Bink beat sounds like a Bink beat, Fallin up sounds like Dem Jointz, ETA sounds like J LBS and so on. He just elevates what's been done by the others and puts it on another level, but he has no special unique sound. Like 15 years ago you could tell the record was Dre's from listenning to the first 5 seconds.
It's embarrassing how they treat the fans. No press release or anything. It's almost like they don't have any business sense at all are they just don't care. There's no way to justify this.
That’s great that you loved it! I did too, but we’ve both got to admit it lacks CLASSIC songs and that Dre’s rapping (aside from Talkin to My Diary and a few others) was just awkward
