In this current era of music, I doubt there will be a first official single, a surprise release is more likely. Or the follow up to the Gin & Juice mini-film.
It was 3 singles prior to the Casablanco release so I'm sure Snoop will at least have a lead single.

I hope. Arsenal need to win every game to challenge for the title the way it is now with Man City. After the last 2 seasons I hope Man City will drop more points this time, maybe Haaland will have a dry spell who knows.

Finger crossed, let’s hope so but I’m banking on Kai having a monster season as CF

I think streaming and modern technology has destroyed the old model of releasing albums imo.
I'm not sure the old strategy of releasing singles, lots of promotion then dropping the album quite works in this day & age.
I just don't think there is much money in making music for the labels when it comes to albums when people can download  it for free, so they don't spend as much money on marketing etc.
The money needed to break even on a project must be quite high
I don't work in the industry, so I could be wrong....

Snoop touched on this in an interview with Dre and was talking about the lack of sales nowadays. So he essentially said success for him and this album isn't how much it sells or streams, it's how it feels.

Which I think is why there's been very little promo except the recent interviews.

while it’s true, music doesn’t make nearly what it used to…. look at eminem. he had the perfect rollout. i’ll
be surprised if dre doesn’t try something similar with missionary.

Interesting hearing Snoop say it’s basically 3 creative inputs and final says - him Dre and jimmy.

Seems to me like jimmy may be more involved in this one than other Dre releases. Would explain the sting feature for example

Yeah if Jimmy is on board that much this time, he doesn’t like to do shit half ways I can expect bigger things and roll out
Jimmy got the Power and Bread and Intelligence to go after the right markets and media that Snoop can easily get in along with Dre
Only question is the only thing that will make this promo and album get more and actually quite more or different attention is Dre

Will Dre get out there with snoop and promote ?

That will show this there project and he is outside for it to be successful

He didn’t promote Compton. No videos or promo …he didn’t even really promote with exception of his Beats1 radio show it was coming out and then nothing

snoop is a big enough star to do jay-z level numbers with the proper production and the right rollout..

for comparison sake; jay-z’s last album debuted at number 1 and went platinum

the last time snoop debuted at number one was in 1998 wit “da game is to be sold” and the last time he went platinum was in 2004 with “r&g”

i think jimmy iovine sees the potential

I'm sorry but that's a bit delusional. Snoop is not on Jay's level, the world stopped caring about Snoop's music a loooong time ago, even when he tried to do an album with high profile production and features he only did like 30k first week, and it was 10 years ago. He'd be lucky to have these numbers now. Hov's 200-300k are totally unrealistic for him. On a bright side though, I don't think Snoop and Dre care.

why do u think that is?

snoop is actually more famous than jay

but for some reason, jay still has the ears of hip-hop consumers

do you know why?

you are partly right I mean Snoop definitely has a loyal fan base throughout the world, but yeah maybe the general public stopped really caring about his music a looong time ago as you said, probably somewhere around 07' when Wayne and the skinny jeans era destroyed hip-hop

I'm curious to hear Sccit's reason for why Jay is more popular because that's like one of life's great questions and paradoxes like—why do people think we live upside down on a ball Earth?   Why do people think wearing a mask on their face restricting their breathing is healthy?   Why are people still supporting Kamala and the Democrat party after seeing how much worse it is in America now?  And why do people think Jay-Z is a great rapper?

Life's great mysteries.

What happened to his account?

They mix the album and on the board is the tracklist, but you can't recognize it well. 16 tracks
