Im not expecting anything Gangsta from Snoop he is considered a POP icon, anything gangsta from him would be fake and laughable at this point, hence why we still have people Tha Eastsidaz; its a bit more authentic and believable. I expect this album to be about who he is now, a Pop icon and a musical performer, good music to vibe to. Gorgeous is fine though, but Rihanna or Beyonce on the chorus would take it where it needed to be.

Are you talking serious?

Dead serious my guy. The gangsta image is no longer serving for Snoop. Believe it or not, this guy is everywhere, he just cried on national TV two days ago, the tough guy persona is no longer. Snoop is bigger than rap so to me it would make sense to go that route, the audience is wider.

You wouldnt want one 2 of the biggest R&B singers on your first single? Knowing the impact that it could have?

The cost of a featuring by these "trash" singers is too high to afford. The budget doesn't close, especially at the streaming era that we're living. And thank God today's rappers don't put that shit in their hooks anymore. Like Eminem did with "Love The Way You Lie" with Rihanna. It can even make a huge impact, but not these days.

Like this. :tupac:

The guy thinks they're going to take the risk of putting this shit on their album, when there are much better singers who do the same, and reach their target audience.

Trash singers? let me guess, having Danny Boy on the hook would have a bigger impact?

I have already discussed this with you previously, if you don't remember go back to the previous pages. Whether it's going to make an impact or not, fuck it. Nobody here wants to know about this rubbish participation. I think only you like that.

Again for you to understand:

Danny Boy, Kobe, Butch Cassidy, Dion or any other OG singer >>>> All these trash you mentioned. Go listen to Taylor Swift album or any other pop star.

Furthermore, they make a lot of money from other things that are not part of the music, like the Gin's that Snoop released and several other products that he sells. The guys are not fools.

We are talking about the most famous rapper in the world though, he is literally a Pop icon. His biggest hit is ''Drop it like its hot''... I get the nostalgia,  but the idea of him and Dre dropping some g-funk and talking about gangsterism, is a fan made fantasy. Look at Jay-Z nobody expect him to talk about selling rocks, he evolved.

What didn't you like about Gorgeous?

I might be one of the very few that like it very much, been playing it since and not tired of it yet.

On constant replay nowadays for me, Top 5 on my playlist at the moment in no order:

Gorgeous (Snoop), Problem (Jason Martin),  Ego Maniacs (Cube), All That (Ab-Soul), B.U.C.K.O.Jr (Ab-Soul)
Arsenal 4 Life!!!!!!!!!!

Even if it makes sense, is this what you want ant to see from the album?

I don’t even think Gorgeous needs a singer on the hook; I’d rather something along the lines of Still Dre or something…a rapped chorus
