none of those independent self-funded snoop projects matter this is snoop n dre doing their first album together in 30+ years arguably the greatest duo in rap history to sit here and come up for reasons why debuting at number 20 isn’t awful is hilarious bruh
Sccit I respect you, but you clearly don't get it, doesn't work like that. It simply doesn't. Acting like it was unexpected or that Dre and Snoop are both so out of touch they expected this album to sell 100k+ is even just laughable.
Dr.Dre alone wouldn't do big numbers either, unless Eminem is involved. Also interscope is probably focused on Kendrick. Also, releasing a cheap ass video for fire instead of pushing the JellyRoll track as a single is nuts to me
lmao you’re totally lost if you think they went on that huge promotional journey expecting to debut at number 20 brother
It's simply delusional to think that Interscope is run by out of touch dumbasses who expected a success to come from a Snoop Dogg album in 2024
a snoop album produced by dre ….. yes ….. they expected it to shake up the rap world, 100%
I imagine Dre goes into hibernation regardless and may not come back for a long time, if ever. I don't think there's anything he can really do at this point outside of discovering a new monster artist to sell a ton of records in 2024. Nature of the beast. Been a minute since he's worked on anything Kendrick related, too.
I mean don't get me wrong, 36k IS BAD for a Aftermath project. But not for a Snoop Dogg project. People just don't care about him as a rapper at this point, he's been ruining his legacy by putting out extremely mediocre or straight up wack projects for 17 years now. He basically killed any interest people had in his music by doing so, and now when he finally dropped a project of a somewhat better quality people are still not that interested in it, because it doesn't work like that. You can't magically erase 17 years of you tarnishing your legacy by dropping a 7/10 album. And that's what Dre warned him about btw.I guarantee you, if Dre dropped an album now, it would've done like 100k first week.
yeah I think fully producing a Kendrick album or a 50/Em project is the only thing I can see bringing Dre back outside..unless he discovers a new artist like you said
I was just thinking, now that he finally released Marsha, and Snoop. Did a bit with Xzibit, Em dropped not too long ago. What's next on Dre's horizon? What's the next big project he's going to be working on? Perhaps a new 50 Cent album?
Sorry bruh, you are clearly delusional and out of touch They absolutely did NOT expect it to shake the world lol, they understand that it's 20 years too late for that. Snoop & Dre reunion just doesn't do it for today's music listeners. Interscope aren't dummies bruh
The album is just a promo for the liquor.Just like detox news leaks were promo’s for the headphones, which made Dre a billionaire. It is not about streams and album sales.Dre fans who dont like this album need to step their game up. Apart from a few wack tracks (outta da blue, thank you) shit is great.Way better than Compton. Best Dre product in 20 years.
yeah I think fully producing a Kendrick album or a 50/Em collab project is the only thing I can see bringing Dre back outside..unless he discovers a new artist like you said
