On The Edge of Insanity:
Yeah, they did say in that 150th issue that they didn't know quite what they were smoking on when they reviewed that album.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Daz and Kurupt, Rage, Nate Dogg, Warren G, RBX and Lil’ Malik to death, but I don’t need them cock-blocking my quality time with Snoop on every track. It was cool having all of those heads on Dre’s record because it showcased his skills as a part-time rapper and a full-time producer. But when you wait this long for a solo album, a solo album is what you expect. You don’t want skits that aren’t as good as last year’s. You don’t want a lot of previews of the next nigga’s album. You don’t want an endless number of posse cuts where Snoop barely kicks a verse and you definitely don’t want to wait until the third track to hear the man rhyme. And the shocker of all shockers, no cut with Dre. None of the magical chemistry and team work that made The Chronic such a success. Perhaps “Tha Next Episode” will show up as a b-side or something.

This is a good paragraph.  Although this album certainly deserves more than 4 Mics, the review is pretty good.

Hmm...in a way I agree with certain aspects of the interview, but damn.................................this album is my FAVORITE OF ALL TIME...................is it even possible that it coulda been any better???

With all the guest spots, I see where dude is comin from, but at the same time, all the guest spots showed the artists in their top form. It may not have been an all solo album like Illmatic was, but at the same time, it didn't really matter because the guest spots only added to the greatness.

Damn tho if he had some cuts with Dre on there, and had more time to perfect it.......man this is about as close as an album could come to bein heavenly.

white Boy:
this is def a 5 mic album, snoop has the most amazing flow, and dres beats match it perfectly, fuck source

gchild213:
