Come on damn only 2 replies.  This is a legend, show some respect! 

Got the Above the Rim soundtrack and was expecting some hard core Dre produced Chronic/Doggystyle bangers--and then they took their foot off the gas for "Big Pimpin" -- I almost didn't even think it was a real song, I thought it was a sort of interlude or skit.  I was only 11 years old in a suburb of Kansas City, so what did I know?

But it ended up being my favorite song on the album, played it all damn summer.  What a great find for Suge and Dre to find guys like this--he really elevated every projected he was on.  So creative and talented, props to the legend

Dre found Big Pimpin on the Santa Monica pier I remember reading and heard his voice and brought him to to the studio and they were working on the above the rim soundtrack ... still makes me wonder sounds like Dre put Big Pimpin on the song's originally on Daz " produced" songs ...

Dre helped the songs more thank just a mixing credit ....
