His YouTube channel is dope! Im hearing a lot of Battlecat and Dj Quik influences. I honestly thought this was a Dj Quik track when I first heard it. I like this Greydon Square track too, sounds big. Its cool Snoop giving cats like this a shot including Mike and Keyz.
Dope track. Which they'd do a whole LP vibing like that. I also love the back and forth and the way they seem to be having fun in the studio.Warren and Snoop are two of my favorite rappers, too bad they don't have many collaborations. I also don't exactly get their dynamic. Their friends like forever, started making music together, hanging around for decades, both have styles that blend well together....but don't seem to get along when actually doing music with how little output there is. This song is a hype track, but it's freaking great. Hopefully they're cooking and finally sit down to create some music. With Quik being in the studio with them, shit could be a classic summer album.
I never understood that as well. Snoop is of the biggest rappers ever and his best friend is a dope producer/rapper that got him discovered and Snoop doesn't have at least 1 Warren G produced Snoop album? That baffles my mind.
